Advanced
Skin Analysis

|

|
|
"The most
advanced and respected post graduate education on the subject of skin
analysis available"
Why
you should attend this seminar:
A majority of the skin analysis conducted is unfortunately of
insufficient detail to be a valuable diagnostic tool. Further, most
analysis utilises outdated methods of determining the skin type and
condition. Outdated terminology and skin types are still being used even
though our knowledge of this skin is more advanced than ever before.
This is due to the lack of post graduate education in this area and
aesthetics curriculum's that are based on the knowledge of anatomy &
physiology of the 1980's.
For Clinical Aestheticians and non-surgical skin specialists,
the amount of study about the skin undertaken is generally insufficient
to adequately diagnose causes of skin conditions unless specialist study
in the area of dermatology is undertaken.
Example:
if you still think the major skin types are normal, oily, sensitive, dry
and combination, then you are using terminology and a level of
understanding that was developed almost 40 years ago. If you still think
that dehydration is a skin condition, then you are probably treating the
symptom and not addressing the end result of the leading cause. Today,
we should be far more aware of what causes the skin conditions we see in
our clients, and how to choose interventions and modalities that deliver real results. We
cannot do this by clinging to methods and techniques of the past.
Many skin treatment practitioners apply the approach of treating the
symptoms and not the cause of the condition. This is why many treatment
protocols fail to deliver the kind of results clients and patients
expect and deserve.
By determining the leading cause of the condition(s), and what
subsystems of the skin have been affected, more appropriate and
effective plans of action can be formulated.
About
the Advanced Skin Analysis course
This non-product aligned, intensive three-day course covers the major
relevant aspects of effective, contemporary analysis and consultation.
This comprehensive, methodical analysis procedure is known as the
Pastiche Method®. In addition to a complete update of the relevant
anatomy and physiology of the skin you will learn:
- How
to link skin structure and function to skin conditions
- How
to quickly determine leading causes of prevailing skin conditions
- Link
those leading causes to cellular damage and the resulting effect on
leading cells
- Understand
the "cascade" effect that manifests itself as a
number of related conditions
- Determine
triggers and contributing factors of the conditions
- Prioritise
condition treatment order for maximum results
You
will also learn how to incorporate modern skin diagnostic equipment in
to the consultation and prepare a summary report on clients skin
conditions and treatment plans.
The
course is designed to update and up-skill therapists and skin treatment
practitioners who wish to take their current training and experience to
the next level and become professional skin treatment therapists.
This
training is essential for the modern therapist and practitioner who now
needs to understand the latest microbiological discoveries about the
human skin and its responses to environmental and chemical influences.
The best selling book “Advanced Skin Analysis”
is based on the content of this now famous course that has been trained
in it’s evolving forms since 1994. Therapists, Aestheticians and
Practitioners worldwide have taken their careers to the next level by
graduating from this course, and over the last ten years, over 2,700
individuals were trained in the Pastiche Method® of skin analysis.
The seminar is presented by International skin treatment expert Florence
Barrett-Hill, a respected industry educator, author, researcher and
practitioner with over 32 years of experience to share.

Note:
Day four only applies to the combined Foundation & Master Class
version of this program

Day
Four: 9am to 5pm (This is the same content as the
one-day Diagnostic
Master Class)
·
In
the morning,
Florence introduces participants to the Pastiche Method with the help of
virtual and or live models with their consultation notes and case
histories. During each skin analysis, skin condition
examination/discussion the group share their views of how the
consultation data provides the diagnostic cues for determining cause.
The physiological examinations are aided by “close-up” video
projection of the skin surface on a large screen, with facilitator
Florence explaining each visual cue with tips on recognition patterns
and techniques.
Each subject condition is fully discussed to address cause and discover
practical solutions that will lead to appropriate protocols and
treatment prescription.
In
the afternoon, the Pastiche Diagnostic Method is reviewed;
along with protocols and diagnostic pathways. Round Table Discussions on
appropriate formulations to treat conditions follow, with emphasis on
linking product composition to skin structure and function, the effected
cells and systems of the skin condition being treated.
The seminar concludes with a review of the “condition of the day”
and a Q&A summary.

|
| What you
will use during the seminar
The seminar utilises animations and
multimedia presentations to assist in your understanding of the various
systems of the skin.
Each attendee receives a comprehensive 100+ page workbook and a variety
of handouts and reference documents to assist you in taking the
knowledge and procedures back to your own clinics.
During the seminar you will learn how to correctly implement diagnostic
tools such as black light devices and digital skin measuring equipment,
and how to interpret the readings to give you valuable information about
the prevailing health of the skin. |

Upon Graduation...
You will receive a certificate of competency
that is internationally recognised by many skin care companies and
employers as confirmation of advanced knowledge and skills.
Such is the difference in understanding and performance of graduates,
that leading skin care companies recommend their stockists and
practicing aestheticians attend this seminar.
